Just a quickie (hmmm, was that the right phrase! :D ) do Jessops sell the smart media? cards to fit Fuji cameras and if so what sort of prices are they roughly?
The Jessops up here is right in the middle of the town and it is a right pain in the ass to get to so I thought I would pick your brains as I presume all the Jessops around the country carry pretty much the same type of stuff with similar prices??
Ta mucho!
:) :)

Hi Mike,
Yes, Jessops sell all types of cards for digital photography, the Smart Media are £7.99 for 8mb, £10.99 for 16mb, £20.99 for 32mb, £36.99 for 64mb, £69.99 for 128mb (I think those are still the current prices). Why don't you give your local branch a ring before you set off just to make sure they've got the one you want in stock, and ask them to save it for you. You can get their phone number here :

Thanks Vicky!:)
I will have to battle the traffic and go into town soon anyhow when I think about it to get the girlfriend a birthday prezzy so I will pop in and see what they have then.
They actually seem cheaper than I imagined they would as well:D

The Jessops on the IoW made the local independent shut up shop. Grrr, not been in there, it looks too much like Currys!

Must admit the Jessops in Carlisle have been pretty good the few times I have been in, I bought my Minolta 7000i Dynax off them a few years ago now and the price was good and the staff seemed to know their stuff and I was quite impressed.
The only gripe I would have is the lack of staff, the times I have been in it, the shop has always been full of people but there never seemed to be enough staff to cope with it and it usually took ages to get served, it has been a good 18 months or so since I was last in so things could of improved.

There prices are about right for most things, and there NiMH Battaries and Chargers for Digital Cameras are really rather good..... and cheap :)

Even better than e-bay : 7dayshop.com
I run a nikond1x for work and need a lot of cards for a working day.
At £79 for 256mb i can afford to have a lot of cards - with the advantage that critical jobs can be split across cards. (Bear in mind that my local pro-photographic wholesaler wanted £145+vat for 256mb).
