Hi has anyone had any experience with this. I know it works really well in merc vans and vws but wondered about disco's?

I did some cursory research in to this - You may already know this -
Worth checking out if the injectors would be problematic (if you have a Td5) due to viscosity and "particulate" issues.
I gather that the veg. oil either has to be treated to reduce it's viscosity, or you have to ensure there's a pre-heater in the fuel line in order to prevent the injectors fouling.
Couple of links in my signature that might be helpful....

Hi john, I have a 300tdi. don't know if injectors would be a problem. I read an old discussion I found. That seem to say it would be better making your own bio deisel as no conversion was needed. The deisel prices around my area are 91.9 so have to do something or the disco will have to go as I do too many miles.

Am I out of touch with reality, but I thought a 300tdi would return allmost 30mpg, what vehicle are you going to get to replace it to better that ? just wondering really, I know obviously a 1.3 diesel ford munday or wotever will prob do about 40mpg, but my old golf did 35 ish, my merc did allmost 40 I think, but thats not that much difference unless you do really high milaege ???
something needs to be done about fuel prices, i would expect the truckers and their companies to be complaining very soon !!
