2000 disco II- Not Starting- Mechanic is bugging out!

Good day...
I have a 2000 LR DiscoII here in Atlanta, GA! Was driving down the road and pulling up to the intersection, she just quit running. After about 20 minutes sitting, i tried cranking it again and go figure...she starts. Get it home, shut it down and never since will it restart. When i try to start, engine turns over just no start. No smell of fuel, etc... Took it to the garage, cuz I'm no mechanic, (maybe i should be!)...Battery and Alternator tested fine...They received a code for a faulty crankshaft position sensor and replaced. Still no start.
Now the computer is not giving them any error codes. So they are now hunting for any other problems...Any ideas? I have asked them to listen for the proverbial "click" when the ignition is turned on from the solenoid...ANY OTHER IDEAS???:eek:

immobilisor problem perhaps (lol at my spelling) if its turning over ok, no strange noises etc, then I would first rule that out as a potential problem. any chance the fuel gauge has failed and its empty ? stupid i know, but from here I felt I had to ask :)

i dont know about the 2000 disco but used to work for rover ,i think the engine is a T series. iff it is i know the car version used to suffer with as said crank sensor & also dizi cap & rotor arm but yours might be a dis system not sure. check for spark ,fuell (injectors firing),cam belt .good luck ,bilge rat.......
