fuel filter getting hot

just serviced my disco 2 and changed the fuel filter, now it seems to be really getting hot (the fuel filter), bit worrried about it, any help? is it commonplace? or is it really something to worry about?

If it's a TD5, then yes, they do get hot. The fuel passes through the cylinder head, so absorbs some of the heat, any unused fuel is then returned back to the filter, then susequently back to the tank...

;) thanks for that imspanners it is a TD5 and was just getting a bit worried about it but now i know its not just mine thanks for the info
