Hi

I have just got a series 1 disco 1996 V8iS with an LPG conversion.

1 owner from new and only 40K on the clock.

Running on petrol I have no problems and it runs as sweet as a nut.

When I switch to gas it starts fine and runs well until I come to a T junction where the revs die and it cuts out. If I manage to get it into neutral and rev it at the junction it runs fine again.

Any ideas what this might be, does it just need adjusting somehow?

Thanks

dunno - but if the leads arent gas compatible, and special gas compatible spark plugs, and your distribitur rotor button thingy aint 110% then LPG is always the first to complain about it
I had to get all these replaced when I got my LPG disco.

Sounds like the idle mixture could be weak also, my last LPG car used to do that. There's a knurled adjuster on the vaporiser that can be turned anti-clockwise to richen the mixture slightly - depending on what make it is though there may be two adjusters ! it's usually the smaller one if so, and just undoing it 1/2 a turn should sort it. If not then screw it back in as it may be the main adjuster.

Also the ignition as Michelle said, and the timing. Mine's a bit 'fluffy' on gas which I'm sure is ignition related. Will have to get a new set of leads soon I think, and maybe knock the timing up a bit - LPG will stand quite a bit of advance.
