My V8 disco's in the garage today because of overheating/ Loss of coolent and loss of power. They rang me earlier to say that the problem looks like the rad's had it. Gonna ring me back this afternoon if they find anything else.Keeping my fingers crossed it's not a head gaskit or worse a porous head.Cannot afford that at the moment. :(

I fitted a new rad to mine recently... from memory it was about £140 from Paddocks.. It had never overheated 'til then, but I was losing water.

Soon as I fitted the new radiator... within 10 miles the top hose went!

You may want to order new hoses now... V8 Disco hoses are harder to obtain that those for a diesel.. similar price though.

I had the same problem of loss of coolent and overheating, it was a little valve on the top rad hose, $260.00 later for a new one and the valve has a screw in thing now.
I shoved a socket end in it it worked fine but I was worried about it, looking back I should of just vulcanized it shut.
I bet there is noting wrong with the Rad just the hose if it has this stupid valve on it.
