Does anyone know if the lower part of the bumper can be easily removed for driving off road and then replaced? I.e to increase the clearance at the front? Just thinking of a temporary solution before i buy a winch bumper!

I thnk the only way is to remove the whole front bumper, I replaced mine with a TJM front bar and presto more clearance.

Or will the Front Lip not just slide off easier?

Well, it can be removed.
You'll need to undo the 2 corner bumpers. These are held on by 1 screw throught the bumper, 1 nut&bolt from the bottom of the wing and 4 screws onto the spoiler.
Then undo all the nuts holding the spoiler onto the bumper.
Now the depressing bit. Chances are, you'll break 1 or 2 of the captive bolts in the bumper off trying to remove the nuts as they've been on there a long time!

I got myself a spare bumper for £20, so it's worth shopping around. The bumper is only 4 bolts & the 2 wing bolts to remove. Takes 10 minutes, if that!

This is what happens if you leave the spoiler on (http://photobucket.com/albums/y185/imspanners/?action=view&current=off-roaddamage.jpg)

I beg to differ! It took me most of a can of WD40, 2 broken 14mm spanners, plently of knuckle skin, two 5 sided sockets and 2 breaker bars and several hours of cursing before mine fell off and cracked me in the shin.

it took me half an hour in total. I just removed mine. Its an easy task be sure you have good spanners and screw driver!.......It looks aggresive now !

Thanks guys! Will look into it now. Ok so if i replace the bumper for a winch bumper, can you still have the front headlight washers attached? Sad i know but if they are there seems a shame to lose them! Or is it just a simple case of drilling a new hole and attaching the washer mount?

Some winch bumpers are pre drilled for the washers, others you would have to drill yourself. Should be easy enough!

I did the same, but I had to cut the wires that go to the Fog Lights. I kept the other ends that were withing the bezel so I can join them again when I buy the Hellas for the Brushbar. Instead of leaving the ends of the Bumper bare, I cut the end caps...
