:confused: hi again,
took the pipe from the fuel filter to the injection pump off to find no fuel in it. i posted a thread a little while ago about poor starting when the car been standing, thought i'd fixed it by replacing the the pipes between the injectors but it's come back. i've just replaced the fuel sender unit but to no avail. when the car starts i get a very loud whinning noise ( sounds like its supercharged) when accelerating then it goes away after a while. i've got a feeling it's air in the fuel injection pump. anyone got any thoughts as your help would be gratefully accepted. (1996 300tdi)
