Looking for a pre-1975 Land Rover.
I'm not to worried about exactly which model; I'll consider all models from the centre steer to a 101, and anything in between. But..
..it must be superb condition and preferably original, or at most have sensible modifications.
To those who have newer vehicles for sale - sorry guys it must be pre-1975. I looked at the options regarding exporting a newer vehicle but I can't get around them.
Cash waiting.

Just make sure it has the correct springs ;) - as an early Rangie falls into your requirements

I know.... ;)
But Mrs Si_Guru says she wants a "proper shaped" Land Rover... so I'd have to battle hard for her to let me have a Velar!
Also I should have said it cannot be a Lightweight (already owned the best one available) or in fact anything that looks "mega" military. So I won't be buying that Pink Panther that Craddock's have.

1975?
Where's it going to? US would make it pre-1980, or have they now frozen the import age?

It's heading to Ireland mate. To be classed as a Histotic car and avoid import duty it must be over 30 years old. So in fact, it coud be an early 1975 vehicle too.

How about a 1974 series 111 109?
Galvanised chassis, immaculate bulkhead, reconditioned 5brg 2.25 diesel, overdrive and free wheelin' hubs, new exhaust, battery, alternator, brake pipes and cylinders, 9,500ilb winch, roof rack, stereo and cb - needs a paint job and rear door.

I don't have any space to work on a Land Rover where Ilive... so for now I'm looking for a vehicle that is ready to go... i.e. finished restoration.

I BELIEVE THE ONLY TIME A VIEHICEL IS TAX EXCEMPT IS IF IT WAS BUILT BEFORE 1973 IT IS NOT AN ON RUNNING THING ON A YEARLY BASIS. RALF WAS BUILT IN 1967 AND WILL BE FOR SALE AS MY BIG BRO MENTIONED!!!
SORRY TO SEE HIM GO BUT TIMES ARE HARD AND MONEY DOESN'T GROW ON TREES.!!

That is correct.... for the UK.
I want to eventually take it somewhere else, where "historic" RFL (€42 pa) is over 30 years old.

I've seen a couple, but what with the holiday the timing wasn't great.
Bee said no to this (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=016&item=260020978674&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1).
Not asked her about this (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=018&item=280019540979&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1) or this (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=010&item=200020409642&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1) yet...
...plus there's a couple in Autotrader too.
No chance of this (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=018&item=280020826532&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1). "Where's the f***ing windows?"

Or this one (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=002&item=120035150227&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1)?
