Good luck with the trip mate. Hope it all goes well.

If I had a newer landy I would ask to join you but I don't think the stage 1 V8 would make it and the bank manager would have a dickie fit at the fuel bill lol.

Let us know how it went and pics would be good too.

I am sure I will. Most of the fun this year so far has been hunting down all the bits the hippo will need like ATs, underbody plates, roof rack , cb etc etc

I can't wait!! Just sprayed the sill guards and they will go on this weekend!!

Come over and say hello at the Freelander stand at Malevern at the end of the month

:)

cheers AJ

if you have a GPS route that is compatible with Garmin or Ozi then I would be very happy to have that too (if not possible no probs). Your trip to Slovenia - inspired idea, its THE "unknown" alpine country, wonderful place. All the coppers are thieving *******s, but otherwise the Julian Alps, Bled...... well worth the effort.

cheers mate!

Bob,

PM me your e-mail address and I'll get the route(s) off to you.

Done Slovenia twice before - once working, once holiday but not with the Landy. Can't agree with you about all coppers there Bob. I had a 2 day liaison visit with them in Koper and found them to be decents chaps. There are always the minority that give the rest a bad name!!

To reply in no particular order. The mud flaps are really for inside the car :-). They are plastic more than rubber and work very well (went on off-road course at Stainsby Quarry). As regards my route, I am taking the Atlantic route with Trail masters next apr (www.trailmasters.com). As it is my first time out, I thought I had better go with some support.

Just bought my fridge (50ltr). Now looking to fit split system and am waiting for Mantek to get back re info on the snorkel.....

Its a busy year!!!

will do. Quite right regarding coppers - can only crticise the two who we had to bribe (there) plus the others in other balkan countries. They even managed to nick Mrs Spanish Bob for speeding!!!!! That really takes some imagination and more front tha brighton could ever have. Despite that it is still a cracking place to visit.:D

Koper (cappodocia), well Istria in general, is nice, really enjoyed it. Recomend the whole area as a great place to visit. Nice people too, although in some of the more conflictive area you probably need some care (eg Kosovo).
