Wotcha guys, I'm one of those wimpy Disco owners who wouldn't normally stray into the SERIOUS Land Rover forum, but I'd like some info about my first Landie way back in the early seventies. It was a LWB (109) series IIa diesel Hardtop, a '65 or '67 I think. The registration number was TGV (or TVG) 437 and I jointly owned it with a mate of mine. We intended to drive it to Australia, but the crankshaft scabbed, then I met 'er indoors and my mate met his and .... Well, the IIa was sold and we never saw it again. Having been told that 70% of all Land Rovers in every variant since 1949 still exist, does anyone know if my old thunder box is one of them?
