There was a documentary on the haunted fish tank last night that was an 'as they are now' review of a documentary made in '54 or '55, by a group of Oxford and Cambridge graduates. Using a couple of Rover donated SWB 'Station Wagons' I guess - probably a bit before Safari time - they drove overland to Singapore. Something that would be impossible today. On the way they were asked to demonstrate the (then relatively new) Land Rover to the Iranian Army; who promptly bought 500! I wonder if those Landies still exist?
