View Full Version : Dame Lucy the 3rd
:D :D Sunday saw the last outing for J595 in theory as a new 90 has been purchased. Metallic Blue 90 pick up, 3.5 efi (lpg), 4 speed auto box. Which should be in my grubby hands on Saturday at the latest. In the post today came the Southdown sliders and a Sumo bar to replace the track rod, the police spec springs are ordered and plus 2" explorer shocks and at some point this week the Gon2far reverse dislocation for the rear and front shock relocation so i can put reverse dislocation on the front axle too. Its gonna be a busy weekend I feel.
She wiil be Dame Lucy the 3rd (see whats yours called if you can be arsed and all make sense) I'm just excited thinking about it so in 2 weeks when Nortak is open we should be in full cry to see if she goes well. Will post pics when I have the vehicle.

Pity i don't know exactly where you live as I would be burning your house down in a jealous rage!!!
I thought it was a 3.9 EFi from a Rangie by the way...what ever it is, she sounds sweet and shifts some!! Just don't park it in a dark street as bits may go missing...like the engine!..LOL
The springs that you are taking off...are they any good? as I am needing springs for my 90...shocks would be nice too..lol...if they need a new home, can I have first refusal? :D
See you at Nortrak with ya new toy soon...I presume another BBQ is in order! :D

www.nor-trak.com (http://www.nor-trak.com)
I thought Nortrak was shut this w/end and I'm away (with landy B4M)
Will be the 27th when it first graces Nortrak by then I should have my bits on.
Backs4more, She's 3.5 efi, if your going to burn my house down move the Landy first in fact move them all cos its them what matter:eek: .
You can have first refusal on the springs and shocks thats if of course you havn't removed the whole damn thing and burnt me to a crisp. :D :D
Will be interesting to see if I can make some of the climbs I havn't made since the rain came and mixed things up a little.
3 WEEKS of no Nortrak (abscence makes the heart grow fonder):luvver: :cryeyesou

Hmm............wish i had more than one landy!!!!!............but never mind, ill just be content with the 2.5turbo ive just unloaded into my garage for the S111.
Now.....wheres my toolbox.....and someone mentioned a stage one back axle in the series postings.............hmm..........3.54 salisbury............RR front diff = more speed + 2.5 TD = more power = better cruising speed......hmm.........maybe the old girl has something still going for her afterall....   .
On second thoughts...........im happy with just one for the moment.
But then again......cant wait to see this new beast of yours in action Huey...............sounds like a fair beast!!!!!
Kev, I should imagine when I'm looking for another toy or its died for one reason or another your series 3 will just nod knowingly as if to say I was here first and will still be here when your gone!! Like Yoda of the Landrover world (tiss green).
Would be something living at Nortrak, anyway doesn't Elvis rent the other caravan!!!!!!
What can I say to B4M he craved the diesal so he could wade deep with confidence, hit it fast enough you can aquaplane across. (will venture into gloop with my recovery strap already to go)

Kev,
Its not getting stuck, its just stopping to admire the view! :p
As for wading with my diesel...would be great if the water did not pour into my fuel tank..lol..must sort that...and soon! I went to Nortrack with 3/4 of a tank, lost a heap on the steep hill..and still went home with more!!!...still running though!
I want a snorkel and deeper holes
Will have to do some water proofing to the V8 won't sound so sweet when she's damp. Well she comes home tomorrow so will put a few pics on here, get the protection on and see what time it is, New Zealand Vs Ireland in fact there there is a whole heap of rugby on,,,,,:D So the project might slow down a while.

Don't worry jamesetta, like all well bred women she likes it rough:D :D
Went down to GlenTarkie with the club first day out with Lucy, and the best of the Beestie Boys in the CD player (ah when hip hop was hip hop them were days are kid). She tore the place up, only drowned it once but their was some deep water we shyed away from one puddle when Stuart and blue went in and water was over the bonnet lapping up the windscreen Blue had all on to shove its way out. And bless she made light of a climb that one dude in his J##p had to winch his way out of. But we've yet to take on the extremes of Nortrak!!!
