Thought I'd pop in to say hello n stuff.
You have all drawn me in to the land rover scene by sheer enthusiasm. So much so, that my project is to build a stretch landy to use for work, (hence the moniker).
i'll be trawling the forum for tips, (other than don't do it) so any nuggets of info you've got hidden will be gratefully received. :D

I've taken your advice to heart, and bearing in mind i wanted a project vehicle, i bought myself a 109" stage 1 V8 hardtop.
that engine should be big enough?
it's gonna need some work to sort it out, but i am gonna stretch it anyway, so a full stripdown was always planned.
i'll be posting pics soon, and will keep you all up to date on progress.

Hi Andy, No it's not that machine. I've been told by the previous owner that it was originally used by the RAF, but have not been able to confirm this yet, will check with proper authorities when i get my copy of the V5 from DVLA. I will be posting updates on the project to the forum, and a more detailed version on my website.
