looked to see why me indicators don't cancel today. the plastic cam on the back is well broken - no wonder! don't suppose anyone had just the cam bit available, it's black plastic, round in shape with about a 25mm inside diameter and two slots to locate on the steering shaft canceller. it also looks like the horn contact track is part of the same unit.
if no one has this part, does anyone have a good steering wheel to fit?
95 M plate tdi, no air bag, cantre push horn.

Funny, I have always had the same thing with my car: I just assumed it was a quirk with Disco's that you just got used to. I'll have a look to see if the plastic cam has broken on mine now.... Would be good to know if there are replacement parts out there, 'cos I assume replacing the whole lot could be expensive....

Mine does the same thing, and I spoke to someone who said it was a LR dealer part only? But supposedly cheap, albeit I'm not sure since I haven't done it yet! You might want to contact your local and see what they say? Let us know if they can help! :D
Mine doesn't cancel either :)

opened the column cover and found the broken bits. now call me cheap but I cleand everyting with celly thinners, roughened the surfaces and glued the bits back on. then I fitted tiny self tappers (about 1.5mm dia) through the plastic into the steel. took about an hour to do and overnight to let the epoxy set.
worked great ever since - well so far anyway.
