fitting defender bumper to disco 1

Hi guys,
Does anyone know the difference in mounting points for a defender and a Disco 1 when it comes to front bumpers?
I will shortly be in possesion of a brand new military bumper for a defender;) and was wondering if there was any way of making it fit Katie, or even if it will fit? If not the front then maybe the back?
I took off the bumper on our defender and series III a few times and they seemed to be mounted the same way, I was wondering if LR used the same way to mount the bumpers on the disco?
Just a thought, but any ideas why it would not fit any one? like the disco is a foot wider than the defender or something.

The way it mounts is very different. But I've often thougth that with a welder, an old Disco' bumper and a Defender bumper you could make something useful.
