Where is the engine number located at on a V8 Petrol?

As the title states...

I own a US market 1995 Discovery I and the engine number is not included on the Title (proof of ownership).

Any ideas?

Have a look on the block face, near the 2nd and 3rd cylinders, the left hand head ( as you sit in the car)
