Disco 2 ABS/Traction Control [Archive]

Hi

When i start our disco you can hear the abs or the traction control operate for a second or two. is this normal or is there a fault. The car is fine after that and the ABS and Traction work as the should ( tested it in the snow a few weeks ago)

I think that is normal Geoff, I think the same question came up anbout a Freelander a while back and someone said it was the system testing itself ... ?

Yup, normal. It's the ABS/TC doing a self test. If you put your foot on the brake - like all auto drivers do - you can feel it too.
