Now every timei press down my brake peddel, it normally humms or makes a humming then banging.

no visable signs,brakes look good.

suggestions!!!!!!!!

maybe the callipers/brake pistons are sticking ...

Too hard a compound on the pads.

Not really, however apart from the humminh, LARGE clonking 95% happens, and nearly have to use two feet on peddel..

Stupid question, but are the pads in the right way round? It's not as daft as it seems, we've had it before, more times than I'd like to mention. Usually by apprentices or bad DIYers.

Too much pressure required to press a servo assisted pedal, either wrong pads, fitted wrong or they are stuck in the carrier. Or the servo isn't working.

Whip the wheels off and check them out.
