Hi all
Just noticed that my headlamps do not glow when the light switch is placed in sidelight position with ignition on as stated in the manual.
I've checked the feeds and fuses and power is sat at the dropping relay under the bonnet waiting for the control relay to switch I guess.
Does any body know the dim/dip relay's position?? It's a 300TDi auto '95.
Cheers all Spud

I thougt LR had binnd the idea by '95.
If you still get proper sidelight and headlight operation I'd just leave it. It's not a legal requirement.
I s'pose it could be argued that if it was fitted from the factory, it should be working for MOT, but I wonder how many MOT guys know which LR's were fitted with dim/dip......

Cheers, I thought I'd ask as the dropping relay is located on the bulkhead under the bonnet so thought the thing has packed up somehow.

I understand the dim-dip relay is connected via an orange connector block in the fuse box. As Swag suggests, it's not a legal requirement, so I wouldn't worry about it. In any case, I believe a new relay will set you back about £70!!!

Your best off without dim dip. Probably one of the biggest headaches on any vehicle, fine while it works but a real pain when it doesnt.
