New Freelander

Hi all,

Has anyone heard about a new FL model coming out in November 2006?

Apparently it is quite different :) and not petrol :(

Don`t know if its acurate info but I was told by good source at LR that new diesel will be 2.5ltre Volvo unit...sonds good.

There are some pictures in this months Autocar magazine. It looks good I think certainly a good progression from the first shape.

i hope they keep the spare wheel on the back,thats my fave bit of the freelander

Apparently it has a longer wheelbase than current model. The image in Autocar shows similar styling to the new Discovery. Extensive changes to suspension and power plant also mooted, and even the mention of it being a seven seater.
