Both oil cooler pipes on my 1996 300 tdi disco leak. The return pipe leaks so bad that the chassis and the diff are all covered in oil.

I searched Paddocks and other online shops but couldn’t find the hoses listed. Could someone please tell me the part numbers? Are the hoses same for disco and defender?
The replacement of hoses seems straight forward but I’m not sure if I should drain the oil and remove the filter or not (just changed the oil that’s how i noticed the leak).

The hoses as you can see are a pressed on fit....why not visit your local farm supplies/hydraulic centre, show them and they can make up a set of braided hoses which will be a bolt together fit.....no more worries about the originals and they`ll last the life of the LR...

When I got my 95 Disco lasT July the LR centre already replaced these as matter of course....the same as doing the timing belt before releasing the LR for sale....otherwise I`d have got a proper set of braided ones on(of course no doubt cheaper than genuine parts and in this case better!!!)

Paddocks sold me a pair for my 200TDi, so I would think they stock them for your car too.

Call them and ask!

As for fitting them, again I do not know the differences for your car, but for me it was a very simple job with very little oil spillage.

Good idea to get your hoses from a local hose supplier but...Make sure they are flushed and preferably pressure tested. A good supplier will do this for free or at worst a small fee. Hoses should be given to you with the ends fitted with caps beware the supplier who does not. A cut-off saw is generaly used to cut to length and you dont want to introduce 'debris' by fitting shining new hoses.

Thanks for replays. I think that finding the hoses locally isn’t an option as I’m in Bosnia at the moment. I’ll check if Paddock have them in stock. Part numbers anyone or a link to parts catalogues?

I just remebered, I did not buy from Paddocks, but from John Craddocks.

No idea of part number, mine's a 200. Just call them, you'll sort it in one conversation!
