The A/C on my Explorer don't half make a pong. Have been told it's the pollen filter - anyone know anything about changing them without involving the main dealer???

Easy one. Stop using it. The explorer not the A/c.

How did I know you were going to say something like that. :D Should be quite easy. You'll need to get a new fliter, which will probably be a dealer only part, and a Haynes manual will show you how to do it. It shouldn't be hard to do and I hear it makes a big difference.

The problem is probably caused by sh1t in the filter. Please don't ask how often you have to do that.

oh boy... that's an old joke!
Try looking on the WEB for a local Air Con specialist. He'll probably charge less than the main dealer and do a better job.
