When I enter the site & open a forum (any forum) it shows me the postings that were made by my previous visit
In order to get the latest postings, I have to 'Refresh' the page.
I also get the same problem on etering a thread to read it as well
Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed it?

Sounds like your using Internet Explorer with wrong cache settings, try doing this...
Start > control panel > internet options
Find the temporary internet files setting and set the options to check for newer pages to Auto.
apply those settings and restart browser, see if that helps.

BTM, exactly the same happens to me, every time. My temp internet files is set to auto, doesn't make any difference. Only happens on this site

Bernie try a little test for me, set the page checking to check on every page load, reload browser and see if same thing happens, page loading may increase while your testing it.

Yep that's worked but as you say slows down the page load. So 'auto' doesn't quite work as it shouuld then?

I have mine set to auto and dont seem to have any problems current browser is internet explorer 6.0.3790.1830 64-bit edition
could it be some sort of proxy issue at the ISP?

Blimey big numbers ... Mine is 6.0.2900.2180, 128 bit :dunno:
Ah, proxy ... I use Onspeed accelerator, maybe that is interfering with things. Some threads, when I try to reply I get 'cannot find page' and I have to turn off Onspeed and do it all again  Could be related?

could be related to onspeed as they proxy everything from what i understand we have just started reselling there service.
I have the same 128 bit cypher as you but the 64 bit is referring to the fact that im running windows xp x64 edition on a 64 bit CPU.
if we could cut out proxies and smtp filtering the net would be a much nicer place.

Mine was set on 'Auto' as well, but it seems okay at the moment & up to date.

Onspeed will cache a page once you visit it, once you return to that page it will serve you the page that it cached, any changes made since it was cached are lost. When you refresh, you are served the updated page and it is cached again.
Whilst this is very useful for static html pages and dialup users it could be a major pain for dynamically created sites such as this one.

Does Onspeed have any configuration options per site or any settings for its cache?

It's pretty basic, don't think there are any cache settings. You can set certain sites to bypass Onspeed, that's about it I think
