and swaps 911 for Zambezi silver 90 xs

my thoughts after putting 1500 miles on the landie in the last 2 weeks :

Where the porsche beats the landrover
. Cornering
. Acceleration

Where the porsche and the landrover tie
. Top speed ( both can achieve the national max speed limit )

Where the landrover beats the porsche
. Seating position ( up above everyone else with a clear view of the road ahead, not down in the muck and spray )
. Capacity ( took five passangers to the airport last night )
. Behaviour of other road users ( everyone gives landies a wide berth, you never get cut up and people even let you out of junctions )
. Go anywhere ability ( tried my hand at greenlaning in wales and drove over some sand dunes onto a beach too )
. Economy & Costs ( around town the landie uses half as much fuel as the porsche and costs £1200 less to insure. Tyres on the porsche last 1 year and are £1000 a set vs 3 years and £450 a set for the landie)
. Fun ( I never felt like taking the porsche out just for the hell of it )
. Toys ( both have leather seats, air-con, electric windows, central locking, alarm and immobiliser, alloy wheels, metallic paint, sat-nav and hands free phone. Landie also has heated seats and heated windows and fresh air vents on the front and you can tow stuff with it)
. Design ( the landrover is timeless, the porsche has a shelf life )

Hello all. It's good to be here.

Welcome, even though I think you're clinically insane! ;)

Having driven a Carrerra 4S, a GT3 and a GT3 RS, personally I'd swap my Landrover and my Mother for a 911.

Driving the Landrover puts a huge grin on my face. Driving the Porsche makes me go wooooooooooooooooooooooooooohooooooooooooooooooooo ooo. (or something like that! I will admit that I didn't stick to the speed limits either)

(and as the 911 has been with us since 1964 I think you could call it a timeless classic as well!)

another plus is you can buy four landrovers for the same price as the GT3 RS!
