Fitted 2 new airsprings from Paddocks, £188. dead easy. Keep every thing
clean. Next morning back right down on stops. What a nutter!
Always get the washing up mix in the sqeezee bottle and use that fisrt.
Do not assume the bags at fault. Just out of warranty 3 years 4 months
, the sodden compressor went up the spout, £460 fitted by agent.
Always get your old parts back and inspect them. Mine comp motor full of
rusty crap! Never been off road or in water since I bought the Vehicle new, 23000 miles only. Parked up in a Boggy field before delivery maybe?
Anyhow. back to the problem, I sprayed over all the soliniod valves on
the compressor unit and low and behold the combined pair of air valves
left and right ,the left one was leaking air around the body.
Took the unit off the old compressor fitted it and hey presto, everything
OK. Moral of story, get your old parts back and use the soapy water!
If you do have to fit airbags dont forget the new spring clips only a £1.
Good Fitting regards, Eddie.
