Out driving today 200 mile trip, 2 thirds through journey, the power steering failed, pulled over checked belt and power steering oil, all ok, got back in, started up, nothing, gradually revved engine till I reached 3ooo rpm turning steering all time, still nothing, dropped revs, turned air con off, (seems this as affected things in the past) and then revved the bol****s off it, the the power steering worked and it was okay for rest of journey.
Anybody any thoughts?
