Hi guys,

I'v decided that I may need to change the shocks on my disco 1, but am not sure with what type. I do some off roading like play days so am considering a 1" lift. At present when I hit a bump I get a "bang!" from the rear as if the suspension is hitting the stops and also an awful lot of body roll and wallowing about. Perhaps this is normal? I suspect not! So could anyone suggest a good replacment shock? I would like better handling but be able to absorb the bumps with ease! Also should the springs be changed and the bushes too with polybushes? Is this something I could do at home?

Cheers

me got bilsteins socks (standard height) I am satisfied with the performance.

The local agent of bilsteins told me that they have now an even better replacement....i think they have a yellow tubing ...for identification purposes.

I will now install new bushes all round...so can not comment on that.

hope this helps
