Hi All

I'm looking for two windscreen wiper motors for my 1962 Series 11a. Anybody got any, or have any suggestions where I could source them?

I also need a heater, but understand these are rarer than hens teeth - again any thoughts on sourcing one?

Thanks.

Thanks Iain. I've found some at Holden Vintage & Classic but at £145 plus theft each  I wouldn't mind trying to find some cheaper ones!

I've got a pair you can have for £50 inc p&p. They are working, but seem slow compared with more modern wipers. I don't know if thats normal for Series 2's.

They're pretty easy to strip and rebuild. Re-winding would be difficult unless that's your trade.
You can alter the sweep by changing the spur gear in there. They're usually stamped with the sweep in degrees.
110deg rings a bell for LR's. Not entirely certain though.
There are loads of different gears available because those motors were used on loads of different vehicles of the day.

Hi Andy

That sounds really interesting. Are they Series ll or lll? I'm pretty sure the wipers always were a lot slower than on modern cars. Certainly the single motor that has failed was much slower, and the wipers on my husband's Caterham (which I believe uses a similar modern equivalent) were snail's pace!

I'll be in touch via your website.
