I had german peppered salami and chirozo sausage with cucumber and toms yesterday, that was nice. Country ham and salad today. BLT the other day and tuna red onion and sweetcorn the day before that.
Variety is the spice of life!!! ;)
Oh and on home made bread too which is far superior, doesn't fall apart or flop over!!! :D

There are loads of options........
Rice or pasta, mixing various bits with them are endless.
Or even a fruit salad.
Sometimes cooking some chicken breast into cubes and adding it, or even fish fingers are good. With frozen vegetables.
Even shrimps and or muscles go well.
I have even used sausages.
Usually adding some form of vegetable too.
The pasta is also a good variation.
I personally love rice and love experimenting.

CHEESE!!!................no thank you!!
That stuff is utterly, utterly rancid.
Directions for making a cheese sandwich:
Take two slices of bread, butter the bread, add cheese, place one piece of bread on top of the other and place directly in the bin.:D
..........and as for cucumber, phwaaah, terrible stuff. If you made a dog pooh + cucumber sandwich all you would taste is cucumber. that stuff totally over powers everything!!!!

mmmmmm pie sarnies, it's a while since i've had one of those but i prefer steak pie+brown sauce sarnie, got to be warburtons, white, toastie or extra thick:D
Always have sarnies Mon - Thu made with whole grain bread with usual fillings of Chicken Tikka, Coronation Chicken, Prawn Salad, Tuna Mayo and my favourite, chopped egg and mayo with finely chopped onion. Friday morning we have pasties at work as we finish at 1200.
AJ
philladelphia and strawberry jam mmmmmmmmmm sounds minging i know but you gotta try it...:p
I have ham, cheese and salad sarnie every day, except Mon when we finish early and I have Brie, Bacon and onion toastie. Can't have hot lunch normally cause it can be sat around for 4 hours before i get chance to eat it!!
All washed down with about 2 litres of Coke!

Corned beef and tomato
Oh my God no, not corned beef:ill: That stuff is made of the sweepings up off the floor after they have made the pet food:(
Cheese salad with a good quality mature cheddar in a crusty cob (or roll or bap or whatever you call 'em in you area) takes a lot of beating:)
cheers, Tim

Get yourself down to the local supermarket for some pitta bread and some of that flavoured cooked chicken mini-breast stuff you can get these days.
Toast the pitta, cut it open put some nice fresh salad in the bottom, then cut the chicken (chinese flavour is my favorite) into pieces mix with some mayonnaise and slop as much as you can into each pitta.
I prefer stuffed pittas to sarnies, they don't go so soggy for one thing and you can put just about anything in them (bacon and hard boiled egg with ketchup is another good one), they can be a bit messy to eat though, but that just adds to the enjoyment!!:D

Me too but I like the pittas hot so not too handy for the old snap box at work. Pittas stuffed with ham salad and mayo, very nice:)
Pittas stuffed with fried spam is a favourite of Ali's and mine for breakfast when camping:)

Lemon curd
Cheese and lemon curd
Cheese and jam
:D
Cheese and lemon curd?
Egg sarnies - still a winner.
Roger.
Mayonnaise is the work of Satan. Death to mayonnaise! Why does every shop that ever sells sandwiches make the asumption that everyone likes mayonnaise? I know plenty of people who, like me, hate the stuff. Just think how many potential customers they are losing with that stupid asumption.

Nothing against Lemon Curd per se Bernie, or cheese. Port Salut on fresh farmhouse; an honest sarnie. Its just the combination!!!! Pooh, yuk.
There are things that work and things that don't. Omelette and mashed potato - can't be done, must be chips. Roast dinner with beetroot - arrrrgh. Actually, beetroot with anything or even beetroot on its own, is one of the few foods I cannot do in any way, shape or form.
Lemon Curd is for lightly browned toast or Lemon Merrangue pie.
Roger.
