Hi guys,

Have just sorted out the leak in the roof, and when driving along, the SLS warning light came on. It's amber and towards the bottom left of the dash.

I noticed when I had 7 people in the car last week that it was trying to raise the back end and was struggling and in the end seemed to give up, so thought something may be up then. The rear rasing light (or whatever it's called) was on and flashing for the whole journey and seemed to be trying to do something. After I stopped and parked for three hours I came back we all got in the car and there was no light on and it wasn't trying to raise the rear.

Any suggestions? It seems like it was trying to do something, but not managing it.

Also, the steering whell is not centered which is strange as I have had the tracking checked and it is spot on! Any ideas?

Cheers all,

James

Sounds like the Air supply unit,(compressor) has failed or is failing. When it stopped trying it is probably because the Slabs Ecu logged "compressor exceeded duty cycle" fault and now wont let it try again.Really you need to put it on Testbook and read any codes and use it to force the compressor to work - Testbook is very good with Slabs faults on DII's.
You can straighten up your steering wheel by altering the effective length of the drag link.I expect it has had a replacement fitted and not adjusted.

james, it could be a failing air pump or a leak in the air suspension. i had symtoms like yours before and was due to a leak in the air suspension. once the rear suspension is not in the right level, it can affect your wheel alignment. fix the air suspension first, then check alignment.
