oh and another question...brake pads

does anyone know the wear/service limits for the brake pads on the Freelander, mine are starting to wear to the limit and the 12K service is due soon and i'll be ******ed if i'm going to pay the dealer some silly amount of money for a job i can do myself with my eyes closed :)

I can't find it in my manual, but it's usually around 2mm .. about there the heat starts to break up the thin bit of friction material which crazes and starts to come away in lumps sometimes.

They are only about 15 quid from www.spareshq.com also, and like you I'll be doing my own thanks !
