Door wont open

The drivers side door on my disco wont open from the inside but will open ok using the latch on the outside,does anyone have any idea what is causing this problem cos im getting fed up with winding the window to open the door from the outside everytime I want to get out the car :D .

Plus isn't it an MOT fail if a door can't be opened from the inside?

Pull the door trim off. There'll be a rod running from the interior handle rearwards to the latch. It's either come un-done, or it's out of adjustment.
