Take off belt tensioner after taking off the centre nut. It will be torqued back on at 45NM after locating a `spud` into a hole in the main alloy housing

Take off top water hoses at pump and heater rail.

Take off the 5 bolts from the alloy housing.Look for the recessed nut

and these bolts...When you look at the side of the engine block one of them is a nut on a long bolt(You can see the coolant staining clearly)

Withdraw the housing without taking off the water pump (to do this finally, remove 3 closely located long bolts at the centre of the waterpump)see pix
