hi just had new brake pads fitted any ideas of how many miles i should roughly get before changing again thanks :)

Yeah,
but I'd need to know how many times you intend stopping and how many hills you expect to drive down.

yeh get you point:D but its just for normal road use just wondering if anyone had a rough idea of how many miles to expect

Hi Dazzerboy,
Changed my first set (all round) at about about 39k, and fitted LR ones as replacements since they seemed to me to do a pretty good job. I expect to see the next set last about the same. Mostly roadwork, sometimes with a trailer or horsebox on the back and covering about 25k PA so quite a few motorway trips as well.

It all depends on the way you drive:D....if like me you drive fast and brake late ...they wont last half as long as someone who drives a lil slower and changes down the box when approaching a junction. My philosophy as an ex mechanic is that brakes are for slowing down....gears for going faster...besides its cheap enough to replace the pads ( I got a full set of front and rear discs and pads from Partco for under £50 :eek:)
