g'day mate, I've fitted spots to all my cars to date, the problem is I can't remember a coupla little things but i can give you the overview. First of all you will need a relay. If you've never seen one, they're usually a little box with 4 or five pins coming out of it. I'm not sure what happens over there but you should be able to go to any auto shop and get one pretty cheaply. They're about $15 over here. You will also need an inline fuse.

another thing to remember is that some spots will be earthed through their base and others won't. Usually if they have two wires coming out of them, you need to earth one.

now the relay should have 4 numbers and either four or five pins.

from the relay, the wiring (if you just want them on a switch) i think from memory goes like this

85 - earth (anywhere on body of car or a bolt)

86 - Wire into headlights (high beam if you want them to dip with the high beams)

87 - there will either be one or two pins, either way these go the the spotlights. If there is only one pin, just join the two spotlight wires somewhere before the pin.

30 - This goes through your switch, then to the + terminal on your battery. I like to put the inline fuse between the switch and the battery.

so there is basically how you do it. again i'm not sure how compatible these numbers and prices are compared to how things work over there, but anyhow, i hope i've given you a bit to at least start. By the way, make sure the fuse you get is big enough to handle the wattage of the spots.

by the way, you might want to ask 'imago' about the strength of the fuse you need. from reading other threads he seems to know what he's talking about.
