I have seen that the new discovery has 7 seats. When did Land Rover start doing this? The reason being that I am looking for a 7 seater, and cannot afford to get anything newer than 4-5 years. If it has 7 seats, is there still room for luggage?
Many thanks,
Alex:)

I'm pretty sure the series 1 disco's had a 7 seat option, my series 2 has 7 seats, so basically they have allways offered that option. not to mention that you can get 12 people in 110 defenders ;)
With the 2 jump seats in use there isnt much room for luggage, you could use a roof rack though or a small trailer.

You do indeed get 7 seat disco's both Series 1 and 2 ....trouble is the rear most seats face inwards (stowable) and do take up a lot of the boot space, not realy practicle.:(
You could go for a 110 station wagon as oRGie says...then you can go play in the dirt with the Big Boys.:D Ive taken a 110 where 90's fear to tread...the extra wheel base pays off in mud...but can get you high sided on the crest of a hill.
