Did you see Top Gear (22/06/03) with the Ncap crash tests, and the Freelander, oh er......
But then that was hitting a lump of concrete, it would have been good to see the footage of it, and the other crashes.... just to see how it all worked.
Maybe Land Rover should take note... and see that they can do to improve things...

Missed it .. I take it their data wasn't that great then ?
I did see the whole NCAP lists not long ago and they'd got fairly low percentages in the likely mortality and likely injury ratings.
Of course not crashing in the first place is always safest !

Would have to agree there... I have been involved in a few accidents in my time, (only one my fault before you say, and tha was on ice...) and the damage to the cars, even at 30mph or so was less than the Ncap vehicles, afterall concrete blocks don't have crumple zones:p
Best to avoid walls and other solid objects what ever you drive.... though I wish it would shock some of these idiots you see on the road, I was doing 70 this morning in the 90, and a disco driver towing a trailer tried to overtake me, and then thought better of it when he must have remember he was towing a trailer as it started to swing around all over the place... could have been nasty that...

Got all the gen from another list .. 3*'s compared to a Megane with 5*'s for hitting concrete blocks in the drivers door then ..
But then being hit or hitting in the drivers door between a Megane and a Freebie I know which one I'd rather be in still ! the extra height I think puts you in a slightly safer position in relation to other vehicles.
Still not going to crash if I can help it !
