Mirrors

Does anybody know how to stop door mirrors folding ? At the moment as I get to about 40 mph they begin to fold back and continue until the glass needs adjusting as far as it can go. Is there a way of tightening them up a bit ?

As you live in London it is possible that you have folded your mirrors too often already. When I fold mine I have to do it with a quick hit to overcome a kind of a resistance, as everything is in plastic it is possible that on your car this resistance thing is worn ? When driving at/from a certain speed the surface of the mirrors might cause them, because of that missing 'thing' , to start folding ? (Just a tought you know).
