side steps/bars

Am about to fit either side steps or bars onto my Freelander, Am not really that good at this stuff so my question is, How hard is it and do I need any special tools for the job???

they use rivnuts(thinks how ya spell it),if you aye mechanically minded dow bother and go to L/R indepdent and get charged an hours labour,yes i did my own but broke many a bolt without the right gear
