A bit off topic but I am guessing there are a few country folk here!

I hire a muck spreader most years to spread well muck!! I would rather buy a small, cheap spreader, either a Howard or Massey Harris or anything really for a few hundred pounds so that I can use it all year whenever I want, only have to spread about 10-15tons per year at the most.

Also a flail type hedgecutter, needs to be good working order and under £1000.

Both preferably within 50 miles or so of Kettering.

Farm dispersal sales, should be in your local farming type paper or contact local auctioneers. Theres a large farming auction every month near me.

The nearest around here is Cambridge auctions, this is mostly an arable area so not many spreaders about apart from the huge 10-12 ton rear discharge ones that the contractors use.
