Hello all,
After selling my p38 last year I was left with my disco 1 which has been a good servant/workhorse. I was driving around yesterday and stumbled across Stratstone Land Rover in Bury Lancashire where I came across a really nice 03 plate Discovery GS TD5 Manual in monte carlo blue with 30,000 miles under its belt, well the upshot is I now own said vehicle, just when I was thinking obout leaving the Land Rover fold I have been suckered in again LOL

any advice on what to check/look out for would be appreciated because I am going to make good use of the 12 months warranty they have given me ;-)

thank

Congrats - love mine. Might want to think about Waxyoiling underneath at some point if you plan to keep her for sometime.

There's one guy who always has big ads in the LR mags but its not cheap. I tend to go for the slap some on underneath where its got surface rust approach. Don't get it on anything else but the metal. You can also inject it into cavities if you want to make a good job of it. Halfords stock the various Waxyoil 'amatuer' injection kits. Not very dear actually. Depends how much you use. Have been various threads on here in the past on the art of applying Waxyoil.

Enjoy your Disco!!!

Check for leaking sunroofs and failing air suspension. The former is a nightmare to get sorted and the latter expensive. Otherwise, she's a baby at three years old so should be reliable (relative to other LRs;)).
