first of all hi to everyone on a great forum, been having a read around and can honestly say people on here are more helpfull than some of the so called disco "specialists" i have bumped in to, will do my best to give back on any information that i can (sold car parts for 12 years retail) now a bt engineer but will help if i can, enough of me yakking :D can anyone tell me if seats from a td5 will fit into my 97 300tdi disco without too much trouble or if it has been done before, many thanks in advance for your advice :) :)

So you're talking about fitting seats from a Discovery II into a Discovery I yeah?

Well, anything's possible. It just depends on how much work you're willing to do. From what I understand, it's not possible to fit Discovery II seats into a Discovery I without a LOT of work, because the Disco II is physically wider than the Disco I and therefore the seats are different, including the mountings.

If I were you, I'd look out for a decent leather interior for a Discovery I. Much less hassle involved.
