Hi
My petrol 18i freelander, when it warms up, starts to vibrate. It seems to happen when load is applied to the driving i.e. if coasting it stops but when re-accelerating it vibrates again. It gets worse the faster it's being driven up to high mph where it seems to fade almost completely. Anyone experienced anything similar or have any suggestions as to a diagnosis and cure solution options.
Thanks
Cliff

You don't say wether it's the engine or the whole vehicle.

It could be anything from IRD, VC bearings, diff mounts, wheel balancing or coil pack.

Sorry, should have mentioned that it's the whole vehicle that shudders. Doesn't seem to be the engine, but what do I know?!

Oh, and there doesn't seem to be any increase in vibration through the steering wheel, seeming to rule out wheel balancing.

If it seems to come from the centre console and slightly behind it, then the VC bearings are favourite. More to the rear is the tyres or diff.

Is it revs or speed related...try running up the revs in neutral it will eliminate either running gear or engine then look it whats left.
