Hi Everyone,
I wonder if any of you can give me some advise. Iv'e just purchased my second LR, a Freelander 2.0 XTDi. My first was a Series 2a 2.25diesel which was very old(1963) but very good.
The Freelander is also good so far apart from this very annoying knocking that is coming from the nearside rear wheel. Iv'e changed the bushes on the diff and the rear shockers and it is still there.
It only happens when I am cornering and I am getting desperate so if anyone can help that would be great.
Thanks.

If it is only happening when you are turning, it could be a bearing?

Do you have any bearing noise from it, or any play in the wheel?

Hi Darren,
Thanks for the suggestion m8 but I dont think it is the bearings Iv'e checked both wheels and there is no sign of any adverse movement.

Does it happen when cornering one way, or does it happen which ever way you turn?

Mine does something similar .. only when cornering right quite sharply with a bit of power on too. It sounds like the prop is banging on the floor almost ! is yours similar to this scotty ?

I'm having the rear wheels off later to check it out so I'll let you know if I get to the bottom of it ...

Cheers, Simon
