I'm looking for a program and set of cables that I can load onto my laptop to get into the ECU / Management system of my Disco II TD5.
What's "good enough" for someone who wants to do his own oil changes etc?
Thanks.

Doesn't anyone on these forums change the oil in his or her TD5 disco themselves?

I change my oil every 6K, and all without the assistance of a computer.
Remove sump plug, remove centrifugal filter, remove full-flow filter. Replace sump plug and renew both filters and fill up with good oil. Notice the lack of mention of Autologic or Rovacom.
The Td5 isn't quite as complex as you might have thought. In fact, you can drain every fluid on the car without a computer. Try getting hold of the RAVE CD and everything will become clear.

I got my hands on a RAVE cd some time ago, but the one I have only covers the tdi and V8 engines. There's nothing about TD5.
Under "Technical Information" on one of the splash pages up front it says:
Freelander
=> VIN 576763
If I click on Discovery and Workshop Manuals, I only have the option of "Discovery 2nd Edition" and this covers the 300TDi and V8...
Are you using a newer version of RAVE?

Your Rave CD sounds like its for the Facelift Disco 1, the only engines fited to the Disco 11 are the TD5 and V8, 4.0

The toerag who sold me the thing only supplied "CD1". I've since discovered (no pun intended) that RAVE consists of two CDs.
There's a guy on ebay who sells the dual cd RAVE for 99p. I've just bought one. It should be here in about a week.
