Did you get the tyres on ok with the lift kit? or did you have to do other stuff to get em in?

I want to fit a 2" lift kit and get some AT's in the same size as yours but am wary over them fitting and also don't know if the standard 2" kit will do or if I need the extra bits like braided hoses etc?

Any help would be apprecaited, hope it all went well and would love to see a few pics when done.

Tyres went on fine with the two inch lift and thats all i had to do...Could do with trimming the arches slightly but there not to bad unless i really give it too much off road...Been off roading this morning for three hours and it performed superbly with no problems at all...Could not have got through some of the tracks we went down without lift and tyres...If you check out my threads there,s some pics of the Landi...:D

Thanks for that, checked and your right - she is lookin well smart now.

I have seen the 2" kit at craddocks for about £230 but they do the extra kit with the turrets, extended brake hoses and bump stops for about £330 and wasn't sure which one I needed you see.

I do see...If your gonna be doing serious off roading, ie:- Competition, then get the extra length brake hoses...But for serious green laning, which is what mine got today, and i mean serious! then the brake hose extensions are not needed...I do have a problem with my tyres hitting the hockey sticks(radius arms) on full lock but all i need to do is adjust the steering stops to cure that...Just cant be bothered to do it...I had more fun today, than i,ve had in a long time, with my clothes on that is..:nellie: :nellie: :nellie: :nellie: :nellie: :nellie: :nellie: :nellie: :nellie: :nellie: :nellie: :nellie:

brilliant, you just saved me a hundred quid to spend on something else!!!

Glad you are having so much fun, I will post and artickle and some pics as well once I start the project - my list is:

2" lift kit
265/75/r16 tyres all terrain (as I only do green laning stuff - not too rough)
A bar - I like the beefy plastic one
steering guard
diff gaurd
safari snorkel
decent set of spots
light bar and spots
small roofrack

looking at over a grand there I reckon but it will be worth it as it will look the bizz.

If you look in the Land Rover Enthusiasts mag you,ll see the same 2 inch lift kit that i bought..Advertised at £220ish With free delivery on the more you spend..Plus you may want to invest in a wade kit...This fits on the axles and stops the water getting in and cooling the Diffs just when you,ve got em warm..Cold water is not good on hot Diffs...Makes em crack with the thermal expansion you know.....You can also get wade kits for the g/box and tansfer boxes but i reckon thats only needed if your gonna take your Landi swimming!...Good luck and let me know if you get stuck at all...:cool9: :cool9: :cool9: :cool9:

How did you go on with mounting your spare wheel on the back now its a bigger size - did you need an adapter or something?

Hope the greenlaning went well - post some pics and a write up as it would be nice to see what your new improved mean machine can do.

Hi Why don't you fit some wheel spacers that way you keep all your steering angle and miss the radius arms and it will make it more stable off road.

Wouldn't you need to extend the arches then though?
