Anyone know where and what wattage the bulbs are that light the dash on the 02 Freelander?

Ta :)

(this assumes they are bulbs and not LED's)

Just looked at one and it says 3.4W

They are wedge type bulbs

Apparently they have little green covers on them or something to make the dash light up green, did you notice this when you pulled them out?

Dont know about covers but has anyone tried the led type in their dash/speedo?

Been thinking about doing it would improve the look of the dash/speedo

How do you change the colour of the clock as in the pictures? do you have to change bulbs etc or is there a setting on the clock itself?

In the clock there is a green slightly transparent plastic plate that gives that colour. The bulb is colourless. If you can cut a similar piece of whatever colored plastic you can make it the color you want.

so would this work for the Rover 25 type red clock displays? to turn it to green like the standard freelander one?

mine is duff and looking on fleabay there are loads of Rover 25 red clocks for £25 ish.. but all the freelander ones go for £70+!

Or just do away with the plastic and put a coloured led bulb in:)

this sounds like a fun little project to change the dash lighting to blue or red :D
