i've recently put new springs and shocks on te wifes Disco, and since then she's had a very loud thumping noise from the back when going over pot-holes, speed humps and the slightest of bumps in the road....but when the horse trailer on the back its not that noticable..i can't have put them on upside down could i, i ain't that daft...what else could it be..?

Are they heavier duty springs and bog standard shocks?

Sounds like the shocks are "topping out" - i.e the new springs are trying to expand further than the shocks will stretch.
