the Colonel is a 1973 series 3 109" 1 ton.

He lives in Australia, and will be on the road soon. Having all the brakes done. and some seal but seeing he is over 33 years old I thinks thats OK.

I'm also a member of an Australian Landrover site which is also good.

I'm adding my name to the "I-lived-in-Brisbane" list (and elsewhere in Queensland, and WA, and NSW, and Tas....).
Didn't get sick of the blue skies, hailstones were a problem sometimes.:D
Loved Queensland to bits. Hope you're going well mate. Nice looking ute.

Never made it to the posh suburbs ...you don't want to hear the history of my accommodation in Brisbane. Bit more upmarket in Sydney, Melbourne, Tassy, and Fremantle. And it was all some years ago too..... But still think Bris was a great place.

I live in Samford Nth Brisbane about 28 klms. I lived in Brisbane all my life. So I know it well. When I get the truck regestered, I'll be going to Stradbroke Island (Largest sand island in the world) and Morton Island and do some camping.

My wife and I will put a canvas top on the rear and make a large draw between the rear wheel archs. Install a gas burner and storage area. The put a false floor over the top and the the bed.

Cant wait. Not much hail at the moment. and no rain, we are on big water restrictions. Lucky I have a 7000gal water tank at home..

Good old Straddy, never actually went over there but I heard lots about it. I thought Fraser island is the biggest sand island?
